  1. I'm listening to Imogen Heap. I thought it was different because even though the music was up beat, her voice was some what calm and peaceful. Even though some of the words didn't rhyme the music pulled them together and it made it sound a lot better. Some of the sounds in the music sounded like little songs I had made up. I think that she sounds really modern and isn't like anything that I've heard before. I really enjoyed listening to her sing this week.

  3. Hi Jade! I like the way you describe Imogen Heap's music. One of the things I like about her is that she sings very high and also very low; she uses the whole range of her voice! I'm glad you are enjoying this so far.

  4. Imogen Heap was born on December 9, 1977. She was originally born from Essex, England. She is a very vine pianist. She didn't start liking rock until she was in her teens. She started to like piano when she went to a school in Essex. Then when she went to a boarding school in her teens thats when she started to love rock. Instead of being a classical musician she went with pop/rock. I think that she made a very wise decisions. I thought that even though this is only the second week I have already got some of the songs memorized! I love the first song and the second one. They have excellent rhythm. The link I used is right here->http://artists.letssingit.com/imogen-heap-53nxf/biography. I really enjoy Imogen Heap

  6. My favorite song so far has to be the second one. I don't know the name but it has really weird lyrics. I like it because it has smooth little music parts. To me it just sounds so calm and flowing. I think that her music is mixed a little but I think that there is a piano and in some songs maybe a little bit of guitar. To me the lyrics are so funny it made me giggle a little. It's basically talks about how cute this girl is and why she has to make her laugh so much. It definitely is my favorite but I have a lot more favorites. The rhythm of the second one that is my favorite is so smooth and it makes some sense to me.
I like how her voice can change so quickly. I'm really glad I chose her. She's really good!

  7. I have just figured out some more information about the lyrics. I now know what it's called. It's called Say good night and go. Here are the lyrics, Say goodnight and go
Skipping beats, flashing jeeps, I am struggling
Daydreaming, been sitting, the corner cafe and I'm left in bit's, recovered tectonic, trembling you get me every time why'd you have to be so cute it's impossible to ignore youmust you make me laugh so much it's bad enough we get along so well say goodnight and go follow you home got your headphones on and your dancing got lucky, beautiful shot you're taking everything off watch the curtains wide open and you fall in the same routine flicking through the TV relaxed and reclining and you're alone oh why'd you have to be so cute it's impossible to ignore you must you make me laugh so much it's bad enough that we get along so well say goodnight and go ofe of these days you'll miss your train, and come stay with me it's always goodnight and go we'll have drinks and talk about things and excuse to stay awake with you you'd sleep here, I'd sleep there but then the heating may be down again at my convience we'd be good, we'd be great together go why'd you have to be so cute it's impossible to ignore you must you make me laugh so much it's bad enough we get along so well say gppdnight and go why is it always goodnight and go goodnight and go!

  8. Even though we have only been doing the strech project for a couple weeks, i have gotten much more fond of the music. More than half of the songs I know the lyrics to. Know that I know them so much it makes me feel like i've heard them in commercials. I've noticed that most of the songs actually make sense and that you can usually tell what she is saying . Thats what I like about her. She is awesome to me and i've really enjoyed her music. Some of her songs can be really mellow and her voice is e=really low and it sounds really sad, which i sometimes like.

  10. I listen to my music either in the car since it's such a long ride home. If I don't finish listening to the music I bring it in my house and listen to it while I do my homework. I enjoy listening to my songs more in the car because I don't have to do anything I just have to focus on my music.

  12. I chose to listen to it with family because I don't really let my mom listen to it with me. I think that she enjoys it and She said some things about it like " this music is very mixed", and " some what dreamy." I definitely like the music. It might have not been the biggest stretch but I still really enjoy it. It's still different then my regular music I listen to.

  15. Jade, I love reading your blog! I'm so glad you enjoy Imogen Heap. If you have a chance, look online and find some songs by the band Frou Frou (or ask me and I'll loan you some). She was the singer in Frou Frou before going solo.

  16. Since we have to write with variety, I decided to listen to her other album "Megaphones." I definitely think it has different rhythm but it still has that mellow feelings sometimes. She really is good to me. I like this album just not as much as the one I'm listening to. I think that this album is much more mixed and sometimes her voice is so different then usual music that I listen to I think she is a man! I really like her even thought this is different. It defenatly has more volume to her voice in part of the songs.

  17. Well ben, I really like Imogene Heap and I'm really happy that you like it as well. Some of the songs are really fun and catchy. I think that some of her songs don't use much instruments that I can hear but some have so many instruments.

  18. I took your advice hannah and found out that another singer from a band called Frou Frou helped Imogen Heap with her album I-Megaphone.

  19. I didn't know that, Jade! Good research. I'm glad you like I Megaphone, too! Did you realize that "I Megaphone" has all the letters of "Imogen Heap"? I think that's called an anagram. Cool, huh?

  24. Since this week is our last week I thin that by now I feel like I've known this music forever. From now on I will always like Euro-pop. My music is still very awesome and I can't believe the stretch project is almost over. Know I feel like I know the songs as well as i know the back of my hand. I know them so well I sometimes hum them and say to my self where did I get that song from or what commercial that song was in then I remember that it's just my music for music class.
I think that since I started to listen to imogen heap every week I grew more and more comftorble with her music. She sounds like the music I regularly listen to in the car. She was really good. i especially think that out of her I have grown confidence to try something new. She has awesome rythm. To me I think that Imogen is a great singer and is awesome at her music.
I deffinatly think that her last songs on her album "speak for yourself" are much more suddle than the begginging ones. I would really like todo a nother stretch project. This has been an awesome project! Go Imogen Heap!!

  25. I am really sad that the stretch project is over because it was really fun to blog about our music. I really am going to miss being able to blog about imogen heap. Hannah did you know that I am so inspired that I'm doing my own stretch project with a friend outside of school! I think that she is going to enjoy typing on her very own blog. (of course she is going to have her own blog not this one) I hope she likes it. Thanks Hannah for setting up the stretch project. I can't wait till next year.
